Mental Well-Being Awareness Week

October 10th-14th, 2022

Join us for a series of events, trainings, and activities aimed at promoting mental well-being on campus and giving you the tools and resources you need to support your, and others', mental well-being.


 

All Upcoming Mental Well-Being Awareness Week Events:

 

Monday, October 10th 

  • "Bouncing Forward" Workshop: with local health coach Gaelle Chapon
    • ASUM will be providing waffles for this event!
    • RSVP encouraged by not required to attend; RSVP link coming soon
    • Havener, St.Pat's B, 12:00pm - 1:00pm
  • Wellness Resource Fair: featuring on campus departments, student groups, and local businesses
    • Havener Atrium, 11:00am - 1:30pm
 

Tuesday, October 11th 

  • Morning Yoga and Yogurt: featuring a yogurt and fruit breakfast station to get your day started right
    • Fitness Center, 9:00am - 10:00am
  • Pop the Stigma: event to help destigmatize mental health and the conversations surrounding it
    • Outside the Library, 11:00am - 2:00pm
  • Hydration Station: located on campus to keep you hydrated throughout the day
    • Outside the Library, 11:00am - 2:00pm
  • Build Your Own Thriving College Kit: featuring items such as safer sex supplies, dark chocolate, mental health stickers, tea bags, and more
    • Havener, Meramec-Gasconade, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
 

Wednesday, October 12th 

  • Craft Stations: located in multiple locations on campus to help you relax and destress
    • Location one: Havener Atrium, 11:00am - 1:00pm
    • Location two: Miner Oasis (201 Norwood Hall), 3:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Mental Well-Being Ambassador Training: aimed at training participants to be advocates and resources on campus for supporting mental health
    • Dinner provided for all participants
    • 254 Toomey Hall, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Thursday, October 13th 

  • Mental Health Screening Day: with licensed counselors from Student Well-Being
    • Giveaways will be given to those who complete a screening
    • Havener Atrium, 11:00am - 1:00pm
  • Trivia and Game Night: featuring a game of trivia with other board and video games, with firepits available to hang out around outside; feel free to bring your own games or use the games we have available
    • RC2 Basement (and surrounding area), 6:00pm - 8:00pm
      • Anyone is welcome, not just RC2 residents! 
    • Snacks provided
    • Games provided: Cards Against Humanity. Catan, Clue, Giant Jenga, Exploding Kittens, Dominion, What do you Meme?, classic playing cards, UNO, Joking Hazard, Life, Monopoly, Never Have I Ever, Pictionary, Sorry, Bingo, Pop-O-Matic, Trouble, Yahtzee
    • Outdoor activities include Spikeball, ping pong, hammock, Badminton, Bucketball, and Cornhole.
 

Friday, October 14th 

  • Dog Days: featuring dogs to pet and play with
    • Miner Oasis and Havener Lawn, 10:00am - 2:00pm
  • Family Night: featuring games, snacks, and more for a night fit for the whole family
    • Dinner provided for all attendees; RSVP here
    • Norwood 2nd Floor, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
