Before the Week: April 8
- Walk a Mile in Their Shoes Promotional Table
All Week Long (Monday - Friday)
- SeeSAAW, Resource Table, and It's On Us Pledge- Hosted by Sigma Phi Epsilon
- Display of Flags to Show Prevalence of Sexual Assault
- Outside the Library to the Puck, All Day
- "What Were You Wearing" Exhibit
- The purpose of this exhibit is to dispel the victim-blaming myth that clothing somehow invites a sexual assault. Victims of crime are not responsible for crimes committed against them. Survivors of rape/sexual assault are often asked, “What were you wearing?” We need to stop asking this.
- Second Floor of the Innovation Lab, All Day
Monday, 4/15
- STEP UP! for Sexualized Violence presentation
- Open training for all students, food provided
- Havener Center, Carver-Turner Room, 12pm-1pm
Tuesday, 4/16
- Street Outreach to promote Sexual Assault Awareness Week
- Sidewalks on campus, 11am-1pm
Wednesday, 4/17
- Well-Being Ambassador Training
- This training is open to all students and teaches you the skills to support your own and others' mental health and overall well-being.

Thursday, 4/18
- Walk a Mile in Their Shoes- One Mile Walk in High Heels
- Walk a Mile is a program where everyone will be asked to walk a mile in high heels. This is intended to create awareness and a reflection about how sexual assault can happen to anyone, anywhere.
- Bring your own high heels or use a pair of ours!
- Light refreshments provided
- Walk starts in the Innovation Lab Lobby, 4pm
After the Week, 4/24 - Denim Day Events
- Denim Day Tabling Event, Hosted by Student Well-Being
- Denim Day Tabling Event at the Puck, Hosted by Strategic Diversity Initiatives
- Denim Day Panel- Hosted by University Police Department, Student Well-Being, and Strategic Diversity Initiatives
- The panelists will discuss their roles should a report of a sexual assault occur. Some of the departments/organizations featured on the panel are Rolla Police Department, University Police, Russell House, Phelps Health, Student Well-Being, Student Heath, Student Support and Community Standards, Equity/Title IX, and more.
- Havener Center, St. Pat's A and B, 5pm

*Did you know?: Denim Day is an international campaign that began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court where a rape conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who raped her remove her jeans, thereby implying consent. The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim.

Sexual Assault Awareness Week will be held April 15-19th on campus, with a few other events happening during the month of April. These events are dedicated to raising awareness of and helping prevent sexualized violence and assault. Please be aware that there will be displays of flags to show the prevalence of sexual assault on the lawn outside of the library leading to Schrenk during this week. Further, there will be an informational/resource table outside of the library all day and an exhibit on the second floor of the Innovation Lab. At these events, we will include a #Content Warning/Trigger Warning sign to allow individuals to be aware that the content at the table/exhibit could be triggering.
