    • Students will be learning about and leaving with recipes that are easy, budget friendly, and dorm friendly! They will also learn about nutrition resources available on campus.

    • Take a selfie with Carrot the Therapy Bunny and speak with Jamie Barlow (Senior Counselor) and Traci Krygiel (Senior Assistant Director) from Student Well-Being to learn about the importance of self-care. Then practice yoga with Kayla Burns, a health educator from Student Well-Being!

 

  • Military and Veterans Service Center and Columbia VA VITAL Visit - Depression/PTSD
    • Innovation Lab Room 111 | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Hosted by: Military and Veterans Service Center and Columbia VA Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) Program
    • Do you have a friend who has hinted that they struggle with thoughts related to Depression or PTSD? You don’t need a medical degree nor be an expert to take this training, rather the only requirement is a willingness to help. 
      Suicide Prevention Staff from the Columbia VA are pairing up with the Military and Veterans Service Center to offer this fantastic opportunity! Drop in between classes or stay the whole session.

 

  • Building HOPE Through Action Panel
    • Innovation Lab Forum | 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
    • Building HOPE Through Action is a discussion of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. The panelists include Brandon Anderson (Vice President of Safety and Co-founder/Chair of AGCMO), Dr. Joel Burken (Professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering ), Jessica Gargus (Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Life), Traci Krygiel MSW, LCSW (Assistant Director of Student Well-Being), Chief Doug Roberts (Chief of Police for the University Police Department), Robert Schiffer (Construction Managers with Black & Veatch), and Simone Waldon (Staff Success Center Manager). The panel will be moderated by Derek Zboran (Training and Outreach Coordinator for Student Well-Being) and Barb Prewett (Interim Dean of Students, Director of Community Standards).
