Sexual Assault Awareness Week will be held April 27th – May 1st on campus, with a few other events happening during the month of April. These events are dedicated to raising awareness of and helping prevent sexualized violence and assault. Please be aware that there will be displays of flags to show the prevalence of sexual assault on the lawn outside of the library. Further, there will be an informational/resource table outside of the library all day. At these events, we will include a #Content Warning/Trigger Warning sign to allow individuals to be aware that the content at the table/exhibit could be triggering.  If you or someone you know needs support, please be aware that there are resources available to you on campus and in the community:

The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the survivor.
  • Stop by the Denim Day Awareness Table to learn about campus and local resources and take the It’s On Us Pledge.  You can also receive a free Denim Day pin to wear to showcase your support that It’s On Us all to prevent sexualized violence on our campus!

It’s On Us is a national movement dedicated to ending campus sexual assault by empowering students to challenge and change the cultural norms that contribute to sexual harm. Through education, awareness, and action, the campaign equips individuals with the tools to recognize, prevent, and intervene in situations that may lead to violence.

By taking the pledge, you commit to being part of the solution—supporting survivors, promoting consent, and helping create a safer, more respectful campus community. Join the movement and take the pledge today.
