Scope of practice

Health educators are members of a dedicated team committed to supporting student success and well-being. Through education, coaching, and resource navigation, health educators help students develop healthy behaviors and make informed decisions that support their overall wellness. Health Educators are not licensed therapists and do not provide mental health treatment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, or long-term counseling services. When appropriate, health educators can assist students with connecting to specialized campus and community resources.

Confidentiality

Our health educators are mandated reporters and are required to report information related to a Title IX or Equity policy violation. To learn more about mandated reporters, visit the Title IX website. If you are seeking confidential support, a health educator can refer you to a counselor or student health provider.
